Cobb Emergency Veterinary Clinic(CEVC) is seeking applications for staff emergency and critical care veterinarians to care for canine, feline, avian, reptilian, and other exotic animal species. Our company prefers veterinarians with at least 2 years of emergency/critical experience, and/or internship-trained veterinarians due to the advanced experience and training acquired through a rigorous internship environment. At our Cobb facility (CEVC) we are a 24/7 emergency, secondary, and tertiary critical care facility located in the northwest metro area of Atlanta, GA. At our Cherokee facility (CHEVC) we are currently a night and weekend emergency clinic; however, our goal is to grow into a 2nd 24/7 facility. Our combined caseload exceeds 13,000 cases per year.
We utilize state-of-the art medical equipment and medications in conjunction with a well-trained staff to provide progressive, evidence-based medicine to an affluent clientele. EKG telemetry, defibrillator, ventilator, doppler/Dynamap blood pressure and CVP monitoring devices, electrocautery, I-131, I-stat analyzers, PT/PTT SCA2000 units, and external thermal support units are just a few items in our diagnostic and therapeutic arsenal used to provide the best critical care possible to our patients. We are the largest non-university emergency/referral clinic in the southeastern United States with a 15,000 square foot main facility. We employ 13 full time emergency/critical care doctors of which > the majority are internship-trained, and we are associated with eight specialty service veterinarians that are all located in our main building. Specialty services include surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, and dermatology.
This is an excellent environment to gain additional skills and knowledge for those in pursuit of a residency, since time can be spent with the specialists during time off from the emergency service. We are looking for individuals that are versed at handling the high volume, fast-paced environment of a team-based approach to caring for our patients. I am confident that our cases will challenge even the best of veterinary professionals. A competitive salary, benefits, 401K-retirement plan, vacation time, and a moving expense allotment are all part of the introductory package for compatible candidates.
